About Steven Price

 

Mr. Steven Price is a Co-Founder and Managing Director at FiveWire Ventures. Prior to co-founding FiveWire ventures in 2009, Mr. Price held senior-level positions at private equity firms. He was most recently a senior managing director at New York-based private equity firm Centerbridge Partners, L.P. Before that, he held a similar position at Spectrum Equity Investors, a private equity firm that focused on the media, communications and business services industries.

 

Prior to joining the private equity sector, Mr. Price served in the Pentagon as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Spectrum, Space and Communications) from October 2001 through late 2003. For his service, he was awarded the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service. Prior to joining the Administration, he served as president and CEO of LiveWire Ventures. Mr. Price was also formerly the president and CEO of PriCellular Corporation, a publicly-traded (AMEX ticker "PC") cellular telephone operator which was sold in 1998 for $1.4 billion. Prior to that, he was an attorney with Davis Polk & Wardwell. Earlier in his career, Mr. Price served in the U.S. State Department as Special Assistant to the U.S. Ambassador to the START Talks and also worked in the mergers and acquisitions department of Goldman, Sachs & Co.

 

Mr. Price graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude from Brown University and earned a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law. Among other activities, he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and is a consultant to the Army Science Board and the Defense Business Board.

 

About Stuart Rosenstein

 

Mr. Stuart Rosenstein is a Co-Founder and Managing Director at FiveWire Ventures. Prior to co-founding FiveWire Ventures with Mr. Price, Mr. Rosenstein was the owner and managing principal of AMG Financial Company, a $100 million private lending firm that extended financing and provided collateralized loans and other services principally to the real estate industry. At AMG, he established and created a loan source network and underwrote loans for commercial business owners, developers and builders. He co-founded LiveWire Ventures with Mr. Price.

 

Mr. Rosenstein is a certified public accountant and started his career at Ernst & Young and was a senior manager at the firm until he joined PriCellular Corporation in 1990. Mr. Rosenstein served various roles at PriCellular including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York Society of CPAs.

 

He earned his B.S. in Business Administration with a focus in accounting at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

 

About Alex Berkett

 

Alex Berkett is a Managing Director at FiveWire Ventures. Prior to joining FiveWire, Mr. Berkett worked in J.P. Morgan's Technology, Media & Telecom Investment Banking Group. Mr. Berkett joined J.P. Morgan in 2008 following the firm's acquisition of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc.

 

Previously, Mr. Berkett spent 11 years as an investment banker in Bear Stearns' Media & Entertainment Group, most recently as a Managing Director. During his tenure at Bear Stearns he worked on a variety of transactions across numerous media sectors including interactive marketing services, digital media, cable and satellite television systems, broadcasting, pay television networks, filmed entertainment, advertising services, interactive software, location-based entertainment and music. He was responsible for the execution of multi-billion dollar transactions for such clients as Time Warner, Walt Disney, Time Warner Cable, Viacom, The News Corporation, Digitas and Take-Two Interactive Software. While at Bear Stearns, Mr. Berkett was involved in transactions totaling over $175 billion in aggregate value.

 

Mr. Berkett graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania where he received a B.A. in Urban Studies. He serves on the Council of the Fresh Air Fund.

About Dhruv Prasad

 

Dhruv Prasad is a Managing Director at FiveWire Ventures. Prior to joining FiveWire, Mr. Prasad spent nearly a decade in private equity investing and corporate finance, completing transactions in media, communications, financial services, real estate, and energy/infrastructure.

 

Most recently, he was a Vice President at Thomas H. Lee Partners, LP, a $22 billion global private equity firm based in Boston. Prior to joining THL, Mr. Prasad worked at TPG Capital and Spectrum Equity Investors, where he first worked directly with Mr. Price. He began his career in the investment banking division at Salomon Smith Barney.

 

Mr. Prasad received an A.B. in History cum laude from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

 

About Scott Schatz

 

Scott Schatz is a Principal at FiveWire Ventures. Prior to joining FiveWire, Mr. Schatz worked as an associate in Bear Stearns' Technology, Media & Telecom Investment Banking Group where he was responsible for the execution of merger and acquisition and capital raising transactions for clients such as Freescale, NTELOS, Cablevision, Digitas and Valassis Communications.

 

Prior to joining Bear Stearns, Mr. Schatz worked as an associate at Brown Brothers Harriman in its Mergers and Acquisitions Group where he was primarily responsible for advising owners of closely held firms in various industries, including: health care services, medical technology, telecom services, marketing & information services and other outsourced business services.

 

Mr. Schatz began his career as an analyst at J.P. Morgan in its Technology, Media & Telecom Investment Banking Group, where he advised clients such as Verizon, Verizon Wireless, Comcast and Mediacom.

 

Mr. Schatz received a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2000.
