Fivewire is operational technology that delivers visibility and control over lithium ion powered assets, including electric fleet vehicles and commercial BESS deployments. Fivewire solutions help drivers and operators make the most of the critical 6 to 60 minute window from the time electrolyte gas is first detected and open flame. Fivewire is flexible and made compatible with any MWh class commercial BESS system, EV Fleet vehicles including electric Busses, Box Trucks, Vans and Semis. EV Fleet charging sites and pedestals can also be integrated into the Fivewire network, enabling EVC rapid shutdown should a thermal event occur during a charging session. Within nanoseconds of electrolyte gas detection, drivers, operators and 911 are notified. Raising the alarm in real time enables drivers and BESS site operators to position assets where they won’t pose danger to people, vehicles or facilities.
